General information about model Mamod Minor 2

The mamod minor 2 was introduced in 1939 as a twin cylinder overtype engine. The engine was discontinued in 1940, and now is one of the rarerst mamods around (less than 100 made). In 1948 there was a new version of the minor 2 introduced, this time with a single cylinder. The Minor 2 was discontinued in 1979. The engine basicly is the same as the minor 1, only a bit larger in size.

Mamod Minor 2
The Mamod minor 2 with a raised base was a engine that was still missing in my collection. When one showed up on the dutch aution site "Marktplaats" I placed a moderate bid, and got a mail from the seller that I could buy it. I paid 36,20 euro (about 23 GBP) for it.

The engine is in great shape, it only needs a little bit of cleaning. The engine runs great too

Update 27-01-2008
